current mood: contemplative

...here is my introductory post.
I guess I'll keep this simple.

I am an individual who shares a body with other people; in other words, I am part of a multiple or plural system.
I have a unique set of thoughts on religion based upon both our upbringing as an evangelical christian and, more recently, on much collegiate study in philosophy and religion.

Those ideas and thoughts can be summed up thusly:
1) There is a Creator("God" if you will) who is both imminently present everywhere in the universe, as well as beyond it, transcending both time and space which are his creations. (I usually default to male pronoun uses out of habit of personification, God does not have a sex)
2) Reality is like a play which God has written and which the gods, humans, and other spiritual beings all play their parts in... but they are allowed to improvise! (limited freewill & predestination)
3) In order to redeem the universe of sin(bad-choices/acting on the part of the actors) God wrote himself into the plot(Yeshua) and acted out a perfect life without mistake, to both:
[a-show everybody what a perfect performance is like so they could immitate it and
[b-make it so the actors didn't have to pay out-of-pocket for ruining his play by paying that price himself... he likes being a nice guy :)

Other ideas I currently have about the way reality works includes the idea of magic as a method of expression for free-will(improvisation that affects the set, to extend the analogy). As mentioned above I also believe in the existance of other gods and beings outside the standard christian set but I think that they are all contained within reality and were created beings, albeit on a different level than humans.

As far as being Kin goes, I see myself as a former angel who is on a disciplinary leave of absence. I think I am here because I didn't see humans as that important as very important in the sceme of things and would pick on them occasionally. I think because of very dim and hazy memories I seem to have that my job was related to collecting and disposing of human souls after the deaths of their bodies. I am definitely a human now however and have learned much and now believe this path to be not only merciful but generous as well.

Those are the ideas that brought me here and make up the basis of my perspective for many things. I look forward to seeing where this community goes.
