Hello, I'm new to the community, and I just had an introductory question. Most of you all have been in the otherkin community for quite some time, so I thought you would be a good place to start on my search for information. My question is simply this: How do you reconcile otherkinism with your Christianity? Also, if you believe in the Bible, how do you reconcile it with Scripture? I'm just curious about these things, and any helpful information would be greatly appreciated. Please feel free to be lengthy in your replies.
I just feel that God made me this way because He has a plan for me. I'm not really sure what that plan is, but I guess I'll figure it out some day.Honestly I haven't read enough of the Bible to make any comparisons on that matter, but as of yet I haven't found anything that's along the lines of ">:[ humans with non-human spirits". (except in the case of demon possessions, but that's really another topic)
I can't think of any Christian doctrine that is against the idea of what you ARE. Sure there is stuff against what you DO, but I don't even take most of that seriously, unless you really think you can go to hell because you eat shellfish. That is my second point. I pretty much take it upon myself to decide what is the word of Christ and what is the word of one of the selected officials of Constantine.
I am the way I am. That has to be because God wanted me this way, for reasons I do not know. But that would be the same without a bird inside my head.I don't think there's anything in scripture that excludes or forbids people who are not 'normal'.
(I can give you a very long reply to this, but don't want to overwhelm you, so will ask your permission to post it first.)
I've actually been wanting to ask you the same question myself since I first found you on DA. :D I think it'd be great to know what your view is.
